The Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan together with the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan are working on the issue of extending the validity of the vaccination passport for Kazakhstani tourists to one year.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the agency is working together with the Ministry of Health to extend the validity of the vaccination passport to 1 year.
“As a result, this issue will be submitted to the Ministry of Internal Affairs to prevent the occurrence and spread of coronavirus infection in the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan,” the message reads.
Now, according to the resolution of the Chief State Sanitary Doctor of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated April 29, 2022 No. 21, it is not required to provide a PCR certificate to children under the age of five if there is a PCR certificate from their accompanying persons; members of government delegations of the Republic of Kazakhstan; airline crews; persons who have received revaccination or a full course of vaccination against COVID-19 in the Republic of Kazakhstan, if after receiving the second component, no more than 6 months have passed at the time of crossing the border of the Republic of Kazakhstan, with the provision of documentary confirmation; persons who have provided a passport / certificate / certificate of vaccination against COVID-19, recognized as valid on the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Earlier, Vice Minister Yerzhan Yerkinbayev spoke about the plans of the Ministry of Culture and Sports to put the issue of extending the validity of the vaccination passport for those entering from six months to one year on the agenda at the official level.
