The Baikonur Cosmodrome is reopening to tourists in organized groups. This is reported on the website of the state corporation “Roscosmos”.
“As part of the tour at the cosmodrome, you can visit the Gagarin Launch, the Vostok, Proton and Zenit launch complexes, the Baikonur Cosmodrome museum, the Saturn measuring station, command control points, as well as inspect the assembly and test buildings, the Energia-Buran launch complex and many other objects.
During the launch period, visitors have the opportunity to take part in key events of the cosmodrome: the removal of the launch vehicle, the ceremonial exit from the hotel and the report of the cosmonaut crew and the culminating event of the entire launch period – the launch,” the message says.
As noted, the organization managing the Baikonur cosmodrome JSC “Center for the Operation of Ground-based Space Infrastructure Facilities” does not interact directly with individuals.
