Kazakhstan’s online booking and purchase of air and railway tickets Aviata summed up the results of the year for the company and analyzed the travel statistics of Kazakhstanis in 2021.

Thus, the main breakthrough of 2021 was the increase in the speed of searching for air and railway tickets. If earlier the search for offers according to the client’s request was up to eight seconds, now the service works much faster, giving customers ready-made offers in three seconds for international destinations and in one second for domestic ones.
In 2021, the growth of Aviata service users amounted to 40 percent. The company is constantly working to improve the quality of its service and develop new offers.
In 2020, the company introduced the Superflex service, which guarantees a refund of 90 percent of the ticket price, which also applies to non-refundable fares. Last year, more than 4,000 people used it.
The company continues to participate in the initiative for cooperation with the Bolashak Foundation, supporting the development of the Travel Grants project, which aims to provide support and assistance in raising funds to pay for trips to participate in national and international tournaments, contests and competitions for gifted young people. In 2021, the project was supported by 3,000 Aviata users, and the total amount of donations amounted to 1,000,000 tenge.

Last year, passenger traffic increased by 156 percent due to the lifting of strict restrictions on flights, and the most popular for flights, according to the service, were the summer months.
The top five most popular destinations for leisure and business trips are countries such as Uzbekistan, Turkey, Russia, Kyrgyzstan and the UAE, and the top 5 domestic destinations are Nur-Sultan, Almaty, Shymkent, Aktau and Atyrau.
The cost of the most expensive air ticket in 2021 amounted to 5,712,974 tenge, the ticket was purchased in business class in the direction Istanbul – Guangzhou TC.
Travel is often associated with suitcases and a lot of things, however, according to statistics, the percentage of passengers who prefer traveling without luggage inside the country amounted to 60 percent of the total passenger traffic. As for foreign trips, only 20 percent go on the road without luggage.
The share of one-way tickets purchased in 2021 was 74 percent. Analysts of the Aviata service report that this is due to the epidemiological situation in the world and the preference of users to purchase a return ticket closer to the day of departure in order to avoid force majeure situations.
