“Better than in Montenegro.” Beautiful photos with Almaty lotuses

30 July 2021

The lotus blossom season is underway in Almaty. These rare and beautiful plants attract many beauty lovers. In this article, we decided to show you the most interesting shots that the residents of the city made this summer.

What do the residents of the metropolis do on the weekend in such hot weather – they run to the outskirts of the city in search of quiet places and beautiful locations for photos. Rare lotuses are now blooming near one of the reservoirs in the vicinity of Almaty.

You can get to this beauty from the city by car in half an hour. Pervomaisky ponds are located 17.5 kilometers from the Northern Ring in the Ili district of Almaty region. By car, turn left behind the May Day ponds before the gas station, then immediately right. If you drive straight, you will see a private fishing area.

You can enjoy the lotus blossom all summer, you still have time to see this beauty. You can get by car or by bus to Pervomaisky ponds, from there it takes 20 minutes on foot. Stop – “May Day Ponds microdistrict”.

Altynai Bakytova says that the beauty of Almaty lotuses surpasses the beauty of Montenegrin lotuses.

“The spontaneous trip to the May Day Ponds was a success. I was once again convinced that there are a lot of beautiful places in Almaty. Compared to the lotuses from the Skadar Lakes (in Montenegro) I liked it more here in Almaty.

This is the place behind the May Day Lake. Entrance fee is 1,000 tenge. Private recreation area. There’s an entrance on both sides. You can rent a gazebo for 15,000, then you will see the lotuses for free. But the infrastructure is so-so, everything is old. Therefore, you can just take a photo there for 1,000 tenge. You can still ride a sapa, but you have to pay for it separately, ” the girl writes.

The lotus is a symbol of purity. It is used in many spiritual practices, as it is believed that the plant cleanses the aura of a person and has a beneficial effect on his health.

“It is impossible to admire them, they are so different, so alive, so mysterious… LOTUSES,” writes one of the tourists Natalia Kremeshkova.

This flower is bred in India and China, sowing seeds in the silt of lakes and channels. The leaves of the plant are used instead of asparagus, marmalade is made from seeds, and tea is made from flowers.

There is a version that today on the territory of the CIS, except for Kazakhstan, in the wild, the lotus can be found in the Krasnodar Territory and on Sakhalin. And in our country, it also grows near the Caspian Sea. Lotus can be found in the channels and channels of the deltas of the Kigach and Sharonovka rivers.

Enterprising photographers from Almaty arrange photo tours to these places. The fee per person is an average of 5,000 tenge. Groups of three or four people are taken to the place, the photo session lasts an hour and a half, after which you will be provided with several retouched pictures of your choice.

Photographer Irina Sharova says that she likes to work in this place in the morning, when there are not so many people yet.

“I prefer to shoot in this place at dawn, it’s about five in the morning. There are fewer people in the morning, and secondly, the morning sun emphasizes the awakening, which can be shown in the pictures, well, a very big plus – there is still no such heat.

During the flowering of lotuses, I shoot for the second year, usually the photo shoot is prepared in advance, since they fade very quickly. The images are selected for the location, usually I prefer clothes without drawings, these are most often green, pink shades in clothes, white color is also well suited, but it all depends on the idea of shooting. I also have very brave heroes who are not afraid to get into the water, such pictures are the most popular. If you are ready to “swim”, then you should take shoes with you, since the roots of the plant are prickly and you can hurt your feet, ” says Irina.

Anna Danchenko did not use the services of photo tours. But I am happy with my pictures.

“The lotus is a sacred flower of the Egyptians who want beauty, purity, light and sun. This symbol stands for the moon and the sun, because it refers to fire and water, the light of god and the darkness of hell. This is a kind of interaction of water and the sun, ” she writes.

“How beautiful! And you don’t need to go anywhere!”, ” It’s 30 minutes from our house!”, “What a beauty”, “I also want to go there”, ” Is it really so beautiful here?” – commentators write to the photo with lotuses.

The lotus is a red book flower. It is under the protection of the state, and you can not pick these flowers. And for the disruption of rare plant species, a criminal penalty is provided under Article 339 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan “Illegal treatment of rare and endangered, as well as prohibited plant or animal species, their parts or derivatives. This article provides for fines of up to 8.7 million tenge and even restriction of freedom for three years.
