City and long-distance excursions will be possible in the” red ” zones of Kazakhstan

16 April 2021

Thanks to the ASHYQ app, irregular city and long-distance excursions can be conducted in the ” red ” zone.

According to the Deputy Chairman of the Board of the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the Republic of Kazakhstan “Atameken” Yulia Yakupbaeva, according to the resolution of the chief sanitary doctor in cities located in the “red” zone, group excursions around the city or between regions are prohibited, but from April 21, travel companies will have the opportunity to continue working on the ASHYQ application.

“To start working on the application, the entrepreneur will need to submit a request for a QR code through the Infokazakhstan platform. Most businessmen are already familiar with the platform, as they receive a certificate of readiness (compliance with sanitary standards) through it from the summer. Next, the Regional Chamber of Entrepreneurs will check the application for compliance with the OKED (general classifier of economic activities), and the company will receive a QR code. Before each trip, the status of visitors will be checked, ” she said.

As Yulia Yakupbaeva noted, the application is currently working as a pilot project in seven regions of the country – in the cities of Nur-Sultan and Almaty, as well as in the Akmola, Almaty, Karaganda, Zhambyl and Aktobe regions. From April 26, it will start operating throughout Kazakhstan.

According to her, travel agencies will recommend their tourists to download the app in advance. The company’s website will also provide information on when a refund of the cost of the trip is possible.

According to the established algorithms, the maximum number of tourist groups is 15 people. Before boarding the bus, the tourist, the bus driver and the guide will have to check their status, and the tourists will have to show their results to the guide, the driver or the representative of the travel agency.

According to the decree, the classification of statuses is as follows:

“green” status-the visitor is marked in the database as having passed PCR testing with a negative result for COVID-19;
“blue” status-no result of PCR testing, not listed as contact with a patient with COVID-19;
“yellow” status-indicated in the database as a contact with a patient with COVID-19;
“red” status-registered in the database with a positive result of PCR testing for COVID-19, patients with the status “infected”.
It is noted that tourists with “red” or “yellow” status will not be allowed to travel.

Guests of the city can also download the app and use it.

“The mechanism for checking the status of foreign citizens is not fully worked out, but we will find a solution before April 21,” Yulia Yakupbaeva assured.

As noted by the deputy chairman of the Board of “Atameken”, the use of the application increases the safety of the trip. Since January 17, more than 370 people with a “red” status have been identified who wanted to spend time in the pilot’s participating facilities.
