How do I get a Kazakhstan visa?
For those foreign citizens who need a visa to Kazakhstan, there are currently several options for obtaining it: through the representative offices of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, or electronically, i.e. e-visa.

Option one
Visas are issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan (hereinafter – the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan), foreign missions and consular posts of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and in the absence of such – by specially authorized representatives of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

At the request of the host organizations, multiple-entry visas may be issued to foreigners.

Option two. E-visa
Since 2019, foreign tourists from 105 countries have been given the opportunity to apply for an electronic tourist visa, citizens of 18 countries – for medical treatment or business.

An electronic visa (business, tourist and medical categories) is issued on the basis of a valid invitation from the Kazakh side. To receive this invitation for a foreign tourist, the inviting party (in the case of a tourist visa, only the tour operator or travel agency) must submit a package of documents to the relevant departments of the Migration Service Committee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The deadline for reviewing the invitation is 5 working days, after which the inviting party will be provided with the invitation number, which must be transmitted to the tourist for further electronic visa processing. Next, the tourist can apply for an electronic visa through the portal www.vmp.gov.kz

Visa categories:
A single-entry visa for tourism (category B12) is issued for a period of up to 90 days and the right to stay in the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan for no more than 30 days.

Starting from 2020, according to the Law signed on December 30, 2019, the mandatory registration of foreigners staying in Kazakhstan for up to 30 days has been abolished. However, the host party remains under an obligation to notify the migration service of the arrival of a foreign guest within three working days from the moment of entry into the country.

To do this, the visa and migration portal must:

fill in information about the foreigner and, if necessary, about his children;
sign the completed application form using an EDS;
in 15 minutes, you will receive a ready-made document, which will be stored in your personal account.
The service is free and has been provided by the Ministry of Internal Affairs since 2014.
