According to the ministry, the Kazakh delegation headed by First Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Alikhan Smailov agreed with the authorities and the business community of Qatar that in October 2021, Qatar Airways will launch a direct flight on the Doha-Almaty-Doha route with a frequency of twice a week. Also, a visa-free regime for a period of 30 days will be valid for citizens of the two countries.
It is reported that during the business meetings, the parties paid attention to the development of relations in the field of tourism.
“During the meeting, representatives of the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the national company Kazakh Tourism told about the tourism potential and investment opportunities of the country, especially in the top 10 (resort areas of Burabai, Bayanaul, Imantau-Shalkar, Mangistau, lakes Alakol and Balkhash, the cities of Nur-Sultan and Turkestan, the Almaty mountain cluster and the Baikonur cosmodrome),” Kazakhtourism JSC reported.
