In Kazakhstan, the issue of allocating grants for the resuscitation of children’s camps is being worked out. This was announced by Deputy Chairman of the Board of JSC NC Kazakh Tourism Kairat Sadvakasov.
“The situation with the camps is as deplorable as with the sanatoriums. We conducted research, drove through camps and sanatoriums, made an inventory and checked the infrastructure. The situation is sad, there is no infrastructure. At the same time, the population is growing, the number of children is growing, and they need to go somewhere.
Therefore, now we are working on the issue of allocating grants for the resuscitation of children’s camps. However, there is no legal basis yet. We are in the process and are working on the issue of creating preferences and grants for entrepreneurs who are engaged in children’s recreation,” Kairat Sadvakasov said.
Back in 2019, the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan instructed akims to take special control of the sphere of children’s recreation and open a thousand new camps. And in 2018, Tengrinews correspondents.kz found a “resort” of abandoned children’s camps 250 kilometers from Nur-Sultan.
It is also worth noting that from January 1, the cost of air tickets for children traveling in Kazakhstan will be compensated by the state. The order of the Minister of Culture and Sports came into effect. According to the rules, the amount that could have been spent on children’s air travel will be reimbursed only if it is included in the tour package of local licensed operators. Minor citizens of Kazakhstan from two to 17 years old inclusive or stateless children who have the right to permanent residence in the country fly for free.
