In 2021, it is planned to expand the list of countries whose citizens will be able to visit Kazakhstan without a visa to 90. This was announced by Vice-Minister of Culture and Sports of Kazakhstan Gabidulla Abdrakhimov.
He also spoke about several projects that the agency is currently working on. The first is a proposal for a visa-free regime for foreigners to simplify the process of obtaining an electronic visa. And the second project is connected with the E-Qonaq system, thanks to which foreign tourists do not have to go through a complex registration process.
“We have also completed the implementation of the system in 160 hotels in the pilot mode. Thanks to this system, any foreign tourist will not need to register separately. This will take place automatically when the citizen has already checked into the hotel, ” the speaker told the board of the Ministry of Culture and Sports.
75 countries that Kazakhstanis can visit without a visa
Electronic visas to Kazakhstan for citizens of 105 countries have also been introduced.
“The registration of foreigners at the entrance for a period of up to 30 days was canceled, and migration cards were also canceled. Started the modernization of border crossing points on the border. And we have already started launching foreign airlines so that they can fly in and pick up passengers in 11 cities of our country (Open Sky mode), ” Abdrakhimov recalled.
