The number of passengers transported in the three months of 2022 increased by five percent compared to the same period in 2021. This is reported by the Civil Aviation Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
So, for three months of this year, two million passengers were transported by Kazakh airlines, and in the same period of 2021, the figure was 1.9 million people. In the pre-pandemic 2020, the number of passengers was 17 percent less.
It is reported that the passenger traffic of Air Astana amounted to about 800 thousand people, FlyArystan and SCAT have about 500 thousand passengers.
“Domestic airlines transported 1.5 million people on domestic lines in January – March 2022 (in 2021 – 1.7 million people, in 2020 – 1.1 million people), 500 thousand people on international lines (in 2021 – 400 thousand people, in 2020 – 400 thousand a person),” the message says.
In the country’s airports during the specified period, the number of passengers served amounted to 3.7 million people, which is two percent more than last year (2021 – 3.6 million people, 2020 – 3.3 million people).
Currently, domestic flights are operated by five domestic airlines on 57 routes with a frequency of 613 flights per week. International flights are operated to 24 countries on 77 routes with a frequency of 319 flights per week. These are Turkey, UAE, Uzbekistan, Georgia, Tajikistan, Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Belarus, Germany, Egypt, South Korea, the Netherlands, Poland, Armenia, Great Britain, Maldives, Thailand, Azerbaijan, Qatar, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Mongolia, India and Iran.
