14 December 2021

On December 1, all residents of the Republic of Kazakhstan celebrated the Day of the First President and the 30th anniversary of the country’s independence. As part of this celebration, at the end of 2021, with the support of the tourist information center of the Almaty region Zhetysu Travel, 75 students of grades 7-9 aged 12-16 years took part in master classes on historical tourism – guided tours to objects along the route “El Basy Zholy” were organized for them.

The purpose of the tours was the development of youth tourism and sightseeing activities. Among the objectives of the event is the organization of excursions for children in the Almaty region within the framework of the “Path of the Leader” program, familiarization with the cultural heritage, as well as the education of citizenship and a sense of patriotism among the younger generation.

On November 11, an excursion was held for a group from Atyrau region, and on December 5 – for schoolchildren from Turkestan region, during which the children visited the village of Shamalgan of Karasai district, the park of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, visited the Karasai Batyr school, where Elbasy studied, and the historical and cultural center “Atameken” of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The students also got acquainted with the exhibits and collections of the regional Museum of Local lore in the city of Kaskelen, as well as the memorial complex “Batyr babalarga tagyzym” and the museum complex “Anaga Kurmet”.
